And it was very very cold
Our camp site at Mt Kaputar
The weather was still extremely cold; at least most of the day was spent in the car. Had a lunch stop at Wee Waa, there were local people walking around in singlets, yet we were rugged up. Had heard that it had been snowing in Orange – no wonder it was so cold. Finally found Mt Kaputar (Both of our GPS’s were having problems, apparently this happens all the time a Friendly local helped us out with directions). Got up the mountain – what a trip, the road is very windy and steep at the sides. Sally said that they had to stop at the top for a cigarette; I said that I almost wanted on too. Was glad to finally get to the camp site. The weather was extremely cold again; Col and Mike decided to look at the other camp sites to see if they were any different, finally they returned and said that were we were should do it. Not bad with big fireplaces and BBQ area and hot showers (Somehow I think that we will be needing them!!) Set up camp – there were a couple of English tourists who walked past and look at Col (in singlets and shorts), couldn’t believe it and Sally said yes he is an idiot – even Mike had put a jumper on by now. Had big fire raging, Mike and Jan went to the lookout for photos, and then had dinner and early night (too cold).
