Decided that the weather wasn’t going to fine up enough yet to do the trip to Fraser Island, so Sal and Col decided to visit Sal’s sister in Brisbane ad Jan and Mike were going to have a look at the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The weather was awful up in the hinterland. Each time that Mike and Jan stopped anywhere the rain seems to intensify. Although we did stop off for wine tasting at Maleny – yum. We also stopped off for some lunch at Montville and for cheese tasting at Kenilworth. This is on the list of places to come back and revisit with better weather. We decided to have a look at Borumba Dam and the camping site there – loved the dam area we weren’t sure about the weather so decided to give the camping area thee a miss and try for a cabin. Ended up going to the Borumba Deer Park and getting an Onsite van. The camping area was lovely and it would have been nice to spend more time there. We decided to stay only for the night though. Found out that they have a bluegrass weekend in November and we had only just missed it.
