Crows Nest National Park
Up early to pack up and then have our showers. Couldn’t work out why Mike was taking so long in the shower, but thought that he must have been enjoying the hot water. He finally came back to the car with a big smile on his face – it turns out that he found that he had a visitor while he was showering - a tick, located in his pubes!!!! What to do??? The camping area had a disabled toilet to Jan and Mike went to visit – armed with tweezers and tee tree oil. Minor surgery was performed and off it came. (Sorry no photo’s). Finished packing up and then decided to travel back closer to the sunshine coast to try to get to Fraser Island. Travelled to Crows Nest National Park via Toowoomba. Bought ourselves a radio to have some music in the background and to be able to listen to news. It needed batteries so went into Woolies on the way to the national park – Closed on Sundays!!! Oh well will get them tomorrow. Found the Crows Nest Camping area, setup camp and then went for a walk. While we were walking it started raining, then pouring and lots of thunder and lightning. Got back to camp and it kept going for ever, although the rain did ease a bit. Early night as it was also freezing.
